55+ BC Games

The 55+ BC Games saw senior athletes competing in sporting events from cycling to hockey to dragon boating and everything in between. It was a testament to the human spirit to see these people push themselves to the best of their abilities in competition that was both fierce but at the same time uniting.

The games took place over the span of a weekend and as such, we spent considerable time organizing a travel route and schedule to capture as many marquee events as possible. Not only did these take place at various sites in the lower mainland, we were also at the mercy of the competitors. Arrive too early and cyclists may not be reaching the finish line, arrive too late and the medalists may already have been awarded. It was a juggling act that only came to fruition with collaboration and communication between our team and the organizers of the games.

When the curtains closed on the 55+ BC Games, to the surprise of the competitors they were treated to this video. For many, it was a cathartic experience after all the hours of training and preparation they had put in. For us, the reward was getting to be a small part of that journey.
