Campaign: In-Store Smoothie Menus
Vitasave is a Canadian company based in Vancouver that’s dedicated to accessible healthy living. When they opened their first retail store in the city, they came to us hoping to get some video menus to showcase some of their tastiest smoothies.
Shooting products is different than a lot of other shoots particularly in a studio setting. For something like this, the objects are typically stationary and it’s up to us to jazz them up. Rolling ingredient, beading water, and adding garnish were a couple ways we added some flare but we wanted to make each drink feel unique.
To do that, we had several small backdrops and a series of table settings so Happy Hippie would feel distinctly different from Raspberry Mojito.
A small test shoot was also immensely important. It allowed us to get a feel for what the drinks would look like on camera, how they would react under the lights, and even if we needed to add extra ingredients to make the colours stand out more. One afternoon of trials saved us dozens of potential headaches when the actual shoot rolled around
We find a little extra effort goes a long way and that was definitely the case here.
